Biography

Elizabeth Berridge was born on May 2, 1962 in Westchester,
N.Y. She is a graduate of Mamaroneck High School and also studied acting at
the Strasberg Institute.
Elizabeth has strong roots in the theatre, having graced many
a stage in New York, Los Angeles, and London. In 1986, she received a Drama
Desk nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Play for Wrestlers as well
as Cruise Control, in a part written specifically for her. In 1989, she was
nominated for the San Diego Critics Award and won the Dramalogue Award for
Best Lead Actress for Lulu at the La Jolla Playhouse in Southern California.
Among her numerous film credits are starring roles in The Funhouse,
Amadeus, Five Corners, and When the Party's Over. On
TV, she was a cast member of the series "The John Larroquette Show"
and "The Powers That Be" and guest-starred on numerous shows,
including "The Equalizer," "Leg Work," "Miami Vice,"
"True Stories," and "One of the Boys."
Elizabeth is married to fellow actor Kevin Corrigan, with whom she has
appeared in the film Broke Even and the TV show "Grounded For
Life."

- Elizabeth was once Helen Hunt's roommate. According to an interview
with Ms. Hunt, she first met her Mad About You co-star Paul Reiser at
a dinner party hosted by Elizabeth, who was also a friend of Reiser's
wife, Paula.
- Elizabeth contributed to the executive-producing debut of former
co-star Sandra Bullock, a short film titled Mailman.

- During the summer hiatus (from shooting The John Larroquette
Show) of 1996, Elizabeth headed to New York and appeared in two plays.
One of these plays was Tartuffe, Born Again at the Circle in
the Square, as part of the Circle's 45th anniversary celebration.
- In 1998, Elizabeth, along with Jake Johannson, was set to participate
in a reading of James Morrison's Being Frank, a play about "sexual
dysfunction, incest, and child abuse" to benefit RAINN
(Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network). The project, expected to
be held at the Stella Adler Theatre in Hollywood, was put on hold.
- Elizabeth has been a host of the Eddie Awards, the Academy
Awards of film and television editing.
